The Inter-American Investment Corporation Signs An Agreement For A $30 Million Loan From The Shinkin Central Bank


NEW YORK CITY – On December 5, 2002, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) signed an agreement for a $30 million loan from the Shinkin Central Bank with the Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., acting as agent. The IIC will use the proceeds to provide funding for small and medium-size companies, thus promoting the development of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The signing ceremony took place in the offices of the Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., in New York City. The agreement was signed by Mr. Nobuyuki Ohsawa, General Manager of the New York office of Shinkin Central Bank, Mr. Shoji Noguchi, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., and Mr. Jorge Roldán, Chief of the Division of Finance, Risk Management and Administration of the IIC.

The Inter?American Investment Corporation is a multilateral financial institution that is part of the Inter?American Development Bank Group. It provides financing (in the form of equity investments, loans, guarantees, and other instruments) and advisory services to private enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean.
