Scope Objective: 
To set up a direct investment cofinancing program for expansion projects, especially those involving small and medium-size export companies. The program will seek to further the economic and social development of the Argentine Republic, targeting sectors in which there are many small and medium-size companies.

Environmental Classification:

This is a Category III program according to IIC’s environmental and labor review procedures. Each subproject (loan) considered for financing under the IIC-BICE program will be required to comply with national environmental and labor laws, regulations and standards as well as IIC policies. In order to be able to recognize potential environmental concerns and become familiar with IIC requirements, the bank will be required to attend the environmental training course given by the IIC. BICE has agreed to send appropriate representatives to the IIC’s environmental training workshop for financial intermediaries.
