Jamaican Teas Limited (formerly Tetley Tea Co. Ltd) was founded in Jamaica in 1967. At first the company only produced black tea under the Tetley brand. The company was acquired by the Mahfood family in 1996, since then, the product range has expanded considerably and the Caribbean Dream brand was launched offering consumers combinations of herbs and teas. The loan will be used to acquire a facility in rural Jamaicato process herbs. This facility will have an area to receive and weigh the herbs bought from local farmers, a laboratory for testing of e-coli and salmonella, drying plant , grinding, washing equipment to remove pollutants and a greenhouse.
