IIC Signs A Loan Agreement With Caja De Ahorros Y Monte De Piedad De Madrid

Okinawa, Japan - On April 10, 2005, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) signed a loan agreement with Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Madrid (Caja) under a structured financing arrangement for up to US$50 million granted by Caja to the IIC.

The signing ceremony took place on the occasion of the forty-sixth Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank and the twentieth Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Investment Corporation in Okinawa.

Signing for Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad de Madrid was Mr. Juan José Juste Ortega, Director de Negocio de Clientes Corporativos and Mr. Jacques Rogozinski, General Manager, signed for the Inter-American Investment Corporation.

The Inter-American Investment Corporation is a multilateral financial institution that is part of the Inter-American Development Bank Group. It provides financing (in the form of equity investments, loans, guarantees, and other instruments) and advisory services to private enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean. The IIC's mission is to promote the economic development of its regional borrowing member countries by stimulating the establishment, expansion, and modernization of private enterprises, particularly those that are small and medium in size.
