IIC Approves Revolving Credit Line for Up to US$30 Million for Banco Davivienda S.A. in Colombia
Washington, D.C. — On October 25, 2011, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) approved a revolving credit line for Banco Davivienda S.A. in Colombia, for up to US$30 million. The loan proceeds will be used to provide financing for SMEs in Colombia in a variety of productive sectors.
According to Piedad Acuña, the IIC investment officer in charge of this operation: "We expect this operation will spur SME development in Colombia, given that a part of Davivienda's growth will focus on this business segment. Specifically, with this operation we are expecting to support some 100 SMEs."About Banco Davivienda S.A.
